LOW-CARBON - HIGH-PERFORMANCE - PROVEN SINCE ANTIQUITY
A Future-Proof Additive for Climate-Friendly-Cements
The benefits of natural pozzolan - or trass - are not new – the Romans used it more than 2,000 years ago to build long-lasting, water-resistant structures like aqueducts and harbor installations. Today, it is a smart solution for modern concrete: by reducing the amount of clinker required in cement, pozzolan helps cut carbon emissions while supporting long-lasting, high-performance construction.
Natural pozzolan (also known as trass or volcanic ash) is a finely ground material of volcanic origin with high reactivity. Recognized under international standards such as DIN EN 197-1 (Type II – Pozzolan) and ASTM C618 (Class N), it is officially classified as a supplementary cementitious material. When added to cement, it reacts with calcium hydroxide to form stable compounds that strengthen the concrete and improve its durability.
Locally Sourced Quality – From Türkiye
Our natural pozzolan comes from volcanic regions in central Türkiye. The material is light in color, highly reactive, and naturally low in impurities – ideal for producing sustainable and high-quality binders such as CEM II/B-P, CEM IV, or LC³ cements.
